Do not cook the meatOne of the most important things to remember is that dog is a carnivore and they are supposed to eat raw meat. Do not serve your puppy with cooked meat even if he is asking for it. There are different types of spices in the cooked meat that are not good for the digestive system of dog and it can lead to some health issues. Organic items should be preferredWhen you are planning to buy food items for your dog make sure that you buy all the organic items. In case you cannot afford to buy organic food, it is better that you wash the inorganic item with apple cider vinegar. There are many pesticides on the coat of fruits and vegetables that are fatal for the puppy. Certified dog foodMost of the dog owners make a common mistake of not checking the label of the dog food that they are planning to buy. They only check the ingredients and consider it perfect. You have to assure that the item you are buying is certified and it does not have any shelf-life. The dog food with shelf-life has certain preservatives that are not healthy. Keep it gluten freeHave you ever noticed that the farts and poop of your dog has a funny smell? It is the indication that you are serving the dog food with gluten. Corn gluten is often added to dog food, to prevent the fats from going rancid. Gluten is not digested by the digestive system of the dog and should be avoided. Keep your dog healthyA common mistake that most of the pet owners make is that they do not control the diet of their dog. If you will over feed the puppy it will become obese and you will find it hard to control its weight. It might increase the risk of several dangerous diseases like cardiovascular complications, liver and kidney problem. On the other hand, if you will not serve proper meal your puppy will start to starve, and you will notice his bones showing from its skin. It is important that you know the recommended diet according to the breed of your puppy. Visit the vet because he will give you perfect guidance.
Our beautiful "baby Bond" passed away few weeks ago. It has been very hard on the family as he was much loved and he was such a good dog.
Great with kids, excellent temperament and never any problems. We are very sad but at least we will have the memory of him. I was out walking with Lúna, there she saw a goose and even though we haven't trained her at all, she still knew roughly what to do. I love to see my dogs in their element like that! We all had a great time during a walk that the irish setter club in iceland organized. A few pictures here but more are on our facebook page.
Lúna and Íri also had their first show a few weeks back, we forgot to take picture but they got great critique by judge Frank Kane and Lúna got her first icelandic ck and was second best bitch. He said she needed time to develop and considering she is only 1 year old and 2 week since she came out of quarantine she did so well. |
